Chapter 2: Unfounded Unease

"Brother, your voice is loud," Xu Hengwen clutched his phone, his fingers tightening at the sound of Xu Yixue's voice. His heart inexplicably felt a sense of peace. Tonight, during his business meeting, he kept his phone in his pocket without even glancing at it. When the business partners were talking, he took out his phone and glanced at the red dot indicating an incoming call from Kyoto University. He told the business partners that something had come up and left. He grabbed his phone as soon as he got out of the hotel and called her without hesitation. Thankfully, she answered immediately.

"Brother, are you working or socializing" Xu Yixue asked.
